We are the short-film division of Stonehenge Productions,
a Boston-based production company. We are a membership organization called THE CASTAWAYS.
Anyone interested in any aspect of cinema production is welcome to join during our Open Enrollment period beginning
in April 2004. The membership fee is only $150/year starting from the date we receive your check.
We are looking for actors and actresses (all
ages), screenwriters, people familiar with digital video (DV) camcorders, editing, lighting and sound, set
design, promotion, etc. You don't need to be a professional--just a person with talent and the desire to make
films.
We will make a
number of short films for submission to iFILM.com, the most comprehensive internet guide
showing feature and short films online. This network provides the largest online video-on-demand library in the world
programmed in genre-specific movie channels chosen by film and editorial experts with over 3 million viewers per month.
As the definitive online film portal with over 80,000
films, iFILM.com offers news, reviews, trailers, and movie showcases. Through partnerships
with AMC Theatres, TiVo, and Yahoo!, it delivers to filmmakers a global audience of passionate movie enthusiasts.
Everyone
in THE CASTAWAYS is guaranteed the opportunity to participate in the production of
at least one of the films. Besides working in your particular area of expertise, throughout the year you will be expected to
participate in other capacities as well. In addition, we will hold a series of workshops during which time you can learn about the film making process. The more
you participate, the greater the benefit from being a part of THE CASTAWAYS.
